what is social enterprise?
The definition of SOCIAL ENTERPRISES are social mission driven organizations which apply market-based strategies to achieve a social purpose.it also leads into social entrepreneurship, which by the way is someone who recognizes a social problem and uses entrepreneurial principles to organize, create, and manage a venture to make social change. G.G.Y.E (growing green youth enterprise) is a great example of that.M.A.P the organization that created Growing Green.Has four youth groups in it that are:The Farm Group,The Out Reach Group,The Farm to schools group and last but most definitely not least THE YOUTH ENTERPRISE GROUP,by the way is my group if you could not tell by the bold print. In our youth enterprise group ,which i named earlier,we basically are social enterprise and and social entrepreneurs because, if you have heard about our program ,it is based on reaching out to the community on urban and local farming.we are also a non-profit organization that runs on grants,
fundraisers and our two amazing products named SUPER DUPER SALSA and AMAZING CHILI STARTER that helps the program hire more youth in the school year.I guess you want to know what kind of events we do that show that we are a social enterprise e have a be vocal and eat local week in which we invite the community to be part of at our urban local farm and where we sell your all organic and locally made products .the community are welcomed to join our celebration on being a local farm.Zoe our boss makes us (the youth) the business so that we learn how to.we also try to keep it ETHICAL.
